About Tine
Dr. Tine Bech is a Danish artist with a background in Fine Art from Aarhus, Denmark. She holds a Master’s degree in Sculpture from UCA and a Ph.D. from UWE’s Pervasive Media Studio, where she specialised in play theory and technology to develop a model for audience engagement.

“When we play, we learn how to interact with others, how to socialise, and how to connect, fostering social bonds and a sense of belonging. I believe that play is crucial to society as a whole. In today’s culture, play is often dismissed as ‘silly’ and seen as the opposite of serious work, when in fact, the opposite of play is not work, but depression. Play brings us joy and encourages empathy. Now, more than ever, it is vital to promote compassion among people.”
